Meet our Missionaries
Jane Hedegaard
– Youth With a Mission (YWAM)
Jani, who came from Crossing Church (formerly City Center), has been serving with YWAM in Chico, California since June of 2015. After attending Discipleship Training School (DTS), God called Jani to start a preschool on the Chico base to serve the children of missionaries. With her background in teaching, she has worked with elementary age children in teaching the foundations of our faith in their Family DTS. She is now forming, helping train and leading teams to various parts of the world as God directs them.
Over the past 7 years, Jani has been to Uganda eight times, as well as South Sudan, Greece and Spain where she has shared her “Preschool in a Suitcase” seminars that train others to share the gospel with children. More recently Jani led a team to Mexico where they established a Christian daycare and nursery, supervised groups coming to build houses and shared the love of Christ and the gospel with a Mexican community.
In 2021 she attended a school called “Word by Heart” where she memorized about two-thirds of the gospel of Luke.
Evangelical Church in Plaza, Albania
The members of the Evangelical Church of Plasa in Albania are committed to following Jesus and sharing His Gospel with their Muslim village and beyond. Under the leadership of Crossing Church missionaries Luke and Lydia Valenti, Albanians came to know the Lord, be baptized, discipled and began reaching out to their own community. The Plasa church celebrated its first church service in 2016, and ministers to the village through children and youth ministries and Bible studies for all ages.
The church is now under the direction of Xhentil and Victoria Kora. Xhentil came to know the Lord out of a Muslim background. He and other leaders from the church have an incredible heart for reaching Albanians with the Gospel of Christ. They are beginning a ministry to children and the youth in the neighboring village of Kuc under the leadership of Stiljan Isa. Stiljan is also evangelizing in various villages.
Crossing Church sent a team of 5 to the Plasa Church to aid in leadership development in their various ministries and outreach to surrounding communities in the summer of 2021.

Sean & Vita Mason
– Korce, Albania
Sean has spent roughly half his life in Albania and has dual citizenship there and in the United States. He and his wife, Vita, are the lead pastors of Emanuel Foursquare Church in Korce. In addition to pastoring, Sean is the vice-president of the National Foursquare Board in Albania. He is responsible for assisting in the church planting process and training leaders to pastor Albanian churches. They have recently overseen the opening of a climbing gym as an outreach to the community.
Vita is a native Lithuanian who served on mission to both West Africa and Thailand before marrying Sean and serving the Albanian people. They have four children: Eva, Oliver, Eleanora and Zigmas.

Mike Silva
–Mike Silva International
Mike and Crystal Silva are part of our Crossing Church family. Mike is an evangelist, who through the Mike Silva International mission organization is reaching the lost with the Gospel in developing countries by having festivals in second and third tier cities where other evangelists have not gone.
By leading teams who partner with the local churches, they are able to share the life changing message of the Lord Jesus in the world’s most spiritually receptive places. Their purpose is to not only bring people to a relationship with Christ, but also to strengthen local churches and equip future evangelists to effectively proclaim Christ.
Their most recent outreach was to Santiago, the capital of the Dominican Republic, where a team of 13 from Crossing Church joined 125 others from across the U.S. on the serve team that shared the gospel in schools. There were over 19,319 recorded commitments to Christ through the culminating festivals on the last two days!

– FMI Emissaries
Jason is the Foursquare Emissary to our South and Eastern Africa (SEA) Foursquare churches. Their calling is to facilitate leadership development, church multiplication and national church development in the 23 nations of this region. They also work globally with Foursquare Disaster Relief (FDR) in this region to bring medical missions and financial support to Foursquare pastors in greatly impoverished areas.
Jason and Nikki have two young adult children; Ashley and Jarrett. Jason also serves Foursquare as the North Pacific District Missions Representative.
They currently reside in Gresham, Oregon in the city where they served as pastoral staff at East Hill church for 19 years, the last 12 of which as the Lead Pastors.
Joshua and Hailey Wood
– Foursquare Missionaries to Bosnia
Joshua and Hailey have lived in the Pacific Northwest their whole lives. Hailey grew up in Crossing Church and was a very faithful part of our youth group and prayer ministry at Redmond H.S. She now serves as an RN, while Joshua has worked with troubled youth and in business. They met while serving together on a medical team in Niger, Africa, in 2016. Both Joshua and Hailey have faithfully served their church through children and young adult ministry, worship team, business council, and missions work.
Joshua, Hailey, and son Benjamin are preparing to move to Bosnia in 2023 to live for many years while ministering to the people. Their main goals are to strengthen, encourage, and disciple the people of Zenica (pronounced Zen-its-suh), a city with many young people and families. Driven by Jesus’s example of loving all people and serving them in practical and spiritual ways, the Woods are searching out opportunities for community development and raising up young people for Jesus.
